Youth drowned in pool

HYDERABAD: A youngster Syed Ismail, 20, was drowned in a private swimming pool at Sharadanagar of Saroornagar on Tuesday.

The local police arrested the pool-owner Nanda Kumar, coach Raj Kumar and two guards -- Syed Pasha and Ramesh -- after registering a case under Section 304-A (rash and negligent act resulting in death) of the Indian Penal Code.

A resident of Asmanghad in Malakpet, Ismail went to the pool along with two of his friends who were yet to be identified.

None of them knew swimming. They entered the pool and were playing with a ball at 3 p.m. when Ismail slipped into the water.
