CPI wants regular water supply

The Communist Party of India in a release has urged the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board to release water in regular schedules to areas such as Mahalakshmi Layout, Nandhini Layout and parts of Peenya Industrial area, Kengeri Sattelite Town, Byatarayanapura, and said that these areas were not getting regular water supply. The requests of the citizens to the authorities concerned and protest demonstrations held had no effect, the release said.

Summer school

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), Bangalore, is organising a summer school in Electronics (SUSIE-08) for children studying in 9th and 10th standards. Training programme

Pulsetone Industries, is conducting a three week training programme in mobile phone software and hardware repairs from March 31. It will conduct special classes on coin phones, landline telephones, intercoms (EPABX). Candidates who have completed pre-university course and other job oriented courses were eligible to apply. Water adalat

Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board will hold a water adalat of North-3 Sub division on Thursday between 9.30 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the office of the Assistant Executive Engineer, North-3 at R.T.Nagar. Grievances of customers coming under the jurisdiction of Sanjaynagar, Yelahanka and R.T.Nagar will be heard and settled. Call 22945130 or 22945139 for assistance.

AIR kids win prize

All India Radio, Bangalore, has won first and second prize in Annual Choral Music Competition for children for the year 2007-2008 conducted by All India Radio, Bombay. Seshadripuram Higher Primary School, Yelahanka, has secured first prize under Junior category and Kumaran Children’s Home, Tata silk Farm’s choral group has won second prize in the senior category. The awards will be conferred at Bombay on April 7. On the occasion, children’s group from Seshadripuram Higher Primary School will present the choral songs, according to a press release from All India Radio, Bangalore.
