Relief sought

BANGALORE: The Karnataka State Council of the All-India Kisan Sabha, which met here on Tuesday, urged the State Government to provide compensation to farmers who have suffered crop loss owing to untimely rain. Untimely rain caused loss to cotton, wheat, jowar and kusubi crops in Bangalore Rural, Koppal, Gadag, Haveri and other districts. The Government should conduct a survey to assess the crop loss, the Council said in a release. — Staff Reporter
