Package tour

BANGALORE: Following an increase in the number of pilgrims from Karnataka to Navagraha temples in and around Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu, the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) on Tuesday announced launch of train-cum-bus tour package services from Bangalore from May 26. Tamil Nadu Tourism Commissioner M. Rajaram said that the seven-day package would not only cover the famous Navagraha temples, but also include sight-seeing trips in Chennai, Mamallapuram, Puducherry, Rameshwaram, Kanyakumari, Madurai and Srirangam. While the passengers will be picked up from Chennai Central Station, they will be dropped at Tiruchi station at the end of the tour.
