School students assaulted at Attur

ATTUR: Tension prevailed in Bazaar Street here on Monday evening after a group of persons assaulted two school students who were returning home after appearing for the Plus II examinations.

They sustained injuries and were admitted to Attur Government Hospital.

Protesting, parents and relatives of the students and residents blocked traffic on Cuddalore main road.

Agitators damaged three shops in the Attur new bus stand and the windshield of a few vehicles. Police arrested 17 persons in this connectio.
