On 8 a.m. on Wednesday water level stood at 21.72 ft against the full storage level of 160 ft .

The dam received an inflow of 899cusecs in the last five days. Water level reached at 66.39 ft against its FRL of 90 ft.
The unseasonal rain did not enthuse the Forest authorities at Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park, popularly known as Top Slip. When compare to Valparai region, Topslip registered lower rainfall.
If the rains continued to lash for another couple of days in the region, it would prevent jungle streams from going dry.
