Plea to house owners

VIZIANAGARAM: House owners in the town have been asked to remit tax before March 31 to get exemption from paying penalty of 2 per cent. The penalty will be effective a month later from the date of serving demand notice, according to Commissioner S.S. Verma.

He said on Wednesday that extensive publicity in this regard was being made with the sole aim to realise tax arrears to the tune of Rs. 5.98 crores. He said teams were formed to bring pressure on tax evaders.
