PANAJI: The Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), which represents trade and commerce, has welcomed the statement of Goa Home Minister Ravi Naik on Monday that the Goa Police are striving to curb and control drug traffic in Goa. “The chamber has time and again voiced its concern on two issues — the fatalities on the road and the drug menace — adversely affecting the quality of life for Goans,” said Nitin Kuncoliekar, president of GCCI, on Tuesday. The GCCI, he said, hopes that a strong and visible police action, is launched to root out this menace before it destroyed Goan culture.
