Raghuvaran dead

CHENNAI: One of the most sought-after artistes of the south Indian film industry V. Raghuvaran died after a brief illness here on Wednesday. He was 49.

The actor, ailing for a while, complained of chest pain and was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead due to cardiac arrest. Having grown up in Coimbatore, Rag huvaran pursued his graduation at the Government Arts College there. He came to Chennai and joined the Film Institute. He started his career with ‘Ezhavadu manidan,’ and shot to fame with his performance in ‘Poovizhi Vasalilae,’ directed by Fazil.
