Modi’s claim false: Kharge

Bangalore: KPCC president M. Mallikarjun Kharge has dubbed the claim of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in Hubli that he had developed three lakh tanks in his State as false and misleading.

Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, Mr. Kharge said there were around 25,000 tanks and 20,000 hamlets and “hadis” in Gujarat and there could be a maximum of 75,000 tanks. But, Mr. Modi had uttered a lie by claiming that his government had developed three lakh tanks. — Special Correspondent
