ANANTAPUR: The lists of patta and private lands identified in a survey conducted by the Revenue Department in five revenue villages and their habitations in Amadaguru mandal were displayed in the gram panchayat offices on Monday. They were identified on behalf of the APIIC for acquisition for the Odyssey Science City project. According to the information reaching here, the farmers concerned were asked to lodge their complaints, claims and disputes, if any, on these lands with the Tehsildars concerned by March 23. The lists of 5,016 acres of assigned lands and 6,678 acres of patta lands were displayed in the gram panchayats farmer-wise. The lands belong to about 5,000 farmers. In a survey conducted by the Revenue Department in the last week of February and the first week of March, 13,799 acres of lands were identified in Tummala, Lokojupalli, Pulakuntapalli, Dademvandlapalli and Karimireddypalli revenue villages to facilitate the APIIC to acquire them for the science city project. The officials would deem the status of lands clear against which there would be no claims, complaints or disputes from the farmers concerned. They were asked to lodge their complaints with documentary evidence in the Tahsildars office by March 23. The lands without any disputes would be notified soon after the deadline. The project management has initially decided to acquire about 25,000 acres for launching the project and of it. Later, it was decided to acquire about 10,000 acres in the first phase.
