Fair price shop raided

CHITTOOR: District Civil Supplies Officer, A. Sathyanarayana, Deputy Tahsildar, Sekhar and others on Wednesday raided wholesale rice dealer’s shop and seized 60 bags of ‘subsidy rice’ meant for distribution to the white-cardholders in the fair price shops. Sources said that the subsidy rice was found clandestinely stocked in the shop. No proper records also could be produced to the team as to the source of the consignment. - Correspondent
