ANANTAPUR: A government employee was arrested at Dharmavaram on Wednesday on the charge of threatening the invigilator of an examination hall where his wife was appearing for Intermediate II year chemistry exam and also the principal of Government Junior College, the exam centre. According to the police, invigilator Srilatha noticed a candidate, Mani, copying. She took away the copying material from the candidate and warned her against repeating it. The candidate complained it to her husband Shankar, a junior assistant in the treasury office there. Shankar allegedly rushed to the centre and abused the invigilator in filthy language.
