Youth arrested

TIRUPUR: The police on Wednesday arrested S. Kathirvel (24), a B.Tech (Information Technology) graduate on the charges of attempt to robbery.
The police said he was a native of Manur, near Mudalipalayam.
He was caught by C. Sivasamy, a former MLA and district secretary of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, when he tried to enter the house posing as a delivery boy of a courier company.
He had on an earlier occasion tried the same tactic with Mr. Sivasamy’s wife too.
The police said Kathirverl wanted to make money to become an IAS officer.
Dak Adalat
The Department of Posts will conduct a “Dak Adalat” and “Customer Meet” at the office of the Superintendent of Post Offices, Tirupur Division, Tirupur, on March 26 at 4 p.m.
The general public can send complaints and suggestions relating to postal services before March 24, according to a release here.
