Chargesheet filed

CID officials on Wednesday filed charge-sheet in the murder case of a real estate businessman Prashant Reddy involving Congress leader K. Kesava Rao’s son K. Venkateswar Rao.

Trial of the case would begin after the court accepts the charge-sheet and assigns number to the case. Reddy was found murdered in the house of K. Venkateswar Rao at Jubilee Hills in September last.

After questioning Rao, the Jubilee Hills police arrested him.The case was subsequently transferred to the CID.

Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Wednesday arrested an Additional Assistant Engineer of A.P.C.P.D.C.L., Greenlands section, J. Venkateswar, on charge of accepting Rs. 3,000 bribe from a person to sanction electricity connection to a house.
