Catholic priests’ meeting decisions to be implemented

VILLUPURAM: The decisions taken at Tuesday’s Catholic priests’ meeting chaired by Archbishop A. Anandarayar in Puducherry will be implemented in all churches under the jurisdiction of the Puducherry–Cuddalore archdiocese. This was decided at a meeting held in the Circuit House at Tindivanam on Wednesday.
Free access to the church road at Eraiyur for all the Catholic faithfuls without any discrimination; keeping common funeral car ‘thoomba’ under the custody of the parish priest; collection of subscription for parochial feast from all Catholic faithfuls irrespective of caste; extension of parochial feast procession through Kurumbar Road and provision for common cemetery wherever possible were some of the decisions taken at the priests’ meeting.
