CHENNAI: Six-wicket hauls by K. Jagadish (Royapettah), Vijay Anand (Grove) and B. Karthik (Egmore Excelsiors) enabled their teams post victories in the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association’s lower division league here recently.

The scores:

IV div. ‘B’: Dorairaj MCC 183 in 48 overs (M. Srinivasan 89) lost to Areva T&D 185 for three in 36.4 overs (Md. Tajuddin 56, N.S. Sesamani 41 n.o.).

Fox Trotters 171 in 30 overs (D. Muthukrishnan 53, Vaidyanathan four for 66) lost to Grand Prix 172 for one in 14.2 overs (Mohan Babu 82 n.o., V. Ajay Kumar 59 n.o.).

UFCC (CGL) 68 in 16.1 overs (R. Balasubramanian four for 19) lost to Comrades 69 for one in eight overs. IV div. ‘C’: Jai Hind 128 in 35.1 overs (K. Jagadish six for 47) lost to Royapettah 131 for three in 21.1 overs (R. Venkataramanan 57).

V div. ‘A’: MRC ‘A’ 238 in 47.4 overs (G. Rajesh 71, Ashok Babu five for 75) bt Social 122 in 24.5 overs (Mahendra Babu 51, S. Karthikeyan five for 32, E.K. Senthil four for 31).

Singaravelar MCC 245 in 48.1 overs (Dinesh Kumar 44, Prakadish 42) bt Gopalapuram 209 in 48.3 overs.

Indian Airlines 193 in 38.5 overs (B. Senthil Kumar 42, Vijay Anand six for 68) lost to Grove 199 for two in 29.5 overs (V. Srinivasan 47 n.o.).

ICI S&C 116 in 37.2 overs (B. Karthik six for 21) lost to Egmore Excelsiors 120 for three in 28.1 overs.

Chennai P&T 143 in 37 overs (Venkatesh five for 33, Bhaskar four for 37) lost to 20th Century 145 for two in 17.2 overs (Sukumar 48, Ramesh 46 n.o).

Coaching camp

The Lions Club of South Madras will organise a summer coaching camp for school and college students (fitness, yoga and volleyball) at the Meenakshi College, Kodambakkam, from April 15 to May 31.
