Petition against BIAL adjourned

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday adjourned further hearing on a petition by a Bangalore-based company challenging the award of foreign exchange contracts by Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) to two other companies.

Forex Limited of Bangalore said it had, on December 27, 2006, expressed its readiness to take part in the selection of foreign exchange providers at the Devanahalli airport.

On March 2, 2007, the BIAL Managing Director met Forex, and discussed the issue. The petitioner said that it later came to know that Thomas Cook and TT Enterprises were selected.
