House burgled in Virudhunagar

VIRUDHUNAGAR: Twenty five sovereigns of gold and Rs. 6,000 cash were stolen from the house of a retired headmaster here on Monday night. The family members of A. Narayanan (72) had left for Chennai last week. The neighbours noticed that the locks of a grill gate and door of the house at State Bank of India Colony were broke open on Tuesday.

They informed Mr. Narayanan, who returned to the town and lodged a complaint with the Virudhunagar (East) police.
