Lapang quits ahead of trust vote

Shillong: The Congress-led D.D. Lapang Ministry in Meghalaya resigned on Wednesday ahead of the trust vote after failing to muster a majority. The rival UDP leader Donkupar Roy was appointed the new Chief Minister. — PTI
