NEW DELHI: Several Class X students who appeared at the Sanskrit examination of the Central Board for Secondary Education on Wednesday complained that some sections of the question paper were tricky, while others said it was lengthy. Most students complained about a 10-mark question where they were given a picture and some words to frame a sentence. “The picture composition was tricky. There were some other questions too that were complicated. It was not an easy paper, though thankfully nothing was out of syllabus. Some of my classmates found the paper really long,” said Onusha Dey of St. Mary’s School in Dwarka. Proma Roy of Tagore International School in Vasant Vihar found the questions on “Sandhi” and “Samas” a bit difficult. “It was an average question paper, neither very hard nor easy. Some questions were a bit tricky, but the one on comprehension was fairly easy,” she added. Shashi Banothia, who teaches Sanskrit at Salwan Public School in Rajendra Nagar, also felt that this year’s paper was difficult compared with previous years. “The question on picture composition as well as the 35-mark grammar section was a little difficult for students.” However, there were some students who sounded confident of scoring well in the paper. “At first look, the paper appeared tricky to me. But when I began attempting the questions, I found it easy,” said Prachi Mishra of Ryan International School .
