Special prayers for Karthika Tirunal

Thiruvananthapuram: Special prayers are being held in various places of worship for the speedy recovery of Karthika Tirunal Lakshmi Bayi, member of the ruling family of erstwhile Travancore, who has been hospitalised for the past several days, a statement issued by the Sree Chithira Tirunal Smaraka Samithy, said here on Wednesday.

Karthika Tirunal Lakshmi Bayi (92), who has been ailing for the past few days, is now under the care of the Cardiology department of Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology. The statement issued by the Samithy said that ‘Vishnusahasranama japam,’ bhajans and ‘Niradeepam’ would be held at the Seevelippura at Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple on March 21. All members of the Palace would take part in the prayers. Prayers are being held in various other places of worship too.
