Walk in water: Life was hit following rains in Krishnagiri town and its surroundings on Thursday. —

Krishnagiri: Many parts of Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts on Saturday experienced moderate showers. The sky remained cloudy throughout the day. Both the district administrations initiated precautionary measures. All the departments were asked to remain alert.

People in the low-lying areas were asked to leave for safer places on experiencing heavy rainfall in their areas.

Water bodies

The Revenue and Public Works Departments were closely watching the status of already overflowing water bodies. As the water flow to the tanks in the two districts was expected to increase, officials have started making preparations to plug any breaches.
