This Day That Age
It is announced in a Gazette of India Extraordinary that it will now be possible for the Government of India to issue import licences, without any conditions regarding deferred payments for certain industrial projects which the Government of India consider to be of sufficient importance for financing out of the Dollar credit from the Export-Import Bank of the Unites States. The industries are: (1) engineering, (2) chemicals, (3) cotton textiles, (4) automobiles and (5) coal mining (says a press note issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry).
