Joshna loses

New Delhi: Joshna Chinappa’s quest for her maiden WISPA title at the Vietnam Open ended in disappointment as she lost to top seed Louise Crome in the final at Hanoi on Thursday.

Seeded fifth, the Indian went down 7-9, 1-9, 7-9 in a 47-minute summit clash of the $8,000 event. The WISPA title drought thus continued for Joshna, who is the reigning national champion. — PTI
