Fillip to IT exports will continue: YSR

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh government will continue its efforts in encouraging software exports from the State which posted 45 per cent growth in 2006-07 over the previous year at Rs. 18,582 crore, according to Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy.

Inaugurating the eighth edition of India Soft – 2008 and Hyderabad IT Summit – 2008 here on Thursday, Dr. Reddy said that the State government was taking necessary measures to promote IT and ITeS in tier – II cities like Visakhapatam, Kakinada, Warangal, Tirupati and Vijayawada. Dr. Reddy presented Hyderabad IT summit awards to several companies.
