NEW DELHI: Chetan Anand of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) beat his teammate Siddhartha Jain 21-12, 21-13 for a place in the men’s final of the 29th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) badminton tournament at the Siri Fort Sports Complex here on Thursday. In the final, Chetan will be challenged by P. Kashyap of the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). In the women’s section, Aditi Mutatkar of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited set up a title clash with Aparna Balan of IOC. The results: Men (semifinals): Chetan Anand bt Siddhartha Jain 21-12, 21-13; P. Kashyap bt Ravinder Singh 21-13, 21-13. Doubles (final): Rupesh Kumar & V. Diju bt Thomas Kurien & Siddhartha Jain 21-10, 21-8. Women (semifinals): Aditi Mutatkar bt B.R. Meenakshi 21-17, 21-13; Aparna Balaj bt Neelima Chhetri 21-3, 21-4. Doubles (final): Jwala Gutta & Shruti Kurien bt B.R. Meenakshi & Aparna Balan 21-15, 21-13.
