Moderate rainfall in Karur

KARUR: With the wet spell continuing, several parts of Karur district registered moderate rainfall on Thursday.

The sky remained overcast between bouts of rainfall.

In Karur town, showers greeted residents around noon and weather continued to play truant for the whole day.

The chief amounts of rainfall (in mm) recorded in major centres across the district are as follows: Palaviduthi 25, Aravakurichi 20, K. Paramathi 16.02, Mylampatti 14.40, Karur Town 11.60, Mayanur 9.60, Kulithalai town 9, Kadavur 6, Krishnaraypuram 5, Panjapatti 4.40 and Thogamalai 2 mm.
