ANANTAPUR: A mandal-level TDP leader of Guntakal assembly constituency, Venkatesh (40), was hacked to death allegedly by his political rivals in the railway divisional headquarters town of Guntakal in the district late on Thursday night. He was waylaid and attacked by the rivals near a cinema hall in the town, when he was returning to his nearby village Kasapuram on his two-wheeler. According to the police, the deceased used to frequent to the town and would return to the village after spending time with friends in the evenings.
