SCR books 49 persons

HYDERABAD: Unauthorised travelling in ladies compartment and first-class coaches of MMTS proved costly for 49 persons, who were apprehended and penalised in a massive ticket-checking drive of South Central Railway (SCR). Out of 49 persons, seven were imprisoned while the rest had to cough up penalty, which amounted to Rs. 8,400.

SCR also took up similar drive at Falaknuma- Secunderabad section and Medchal station on March 19 and realised a fare of Rs. 13,941 and a penalty of Rs. 5,750 from 23 ticketless passengers.
