KOCHI: P. S. Gopinathan Nair, noted author of books on environment, will be felicitated as part of the World Water Day programmes to be held here on March 24. The event is being jointly organised by Chavara Cultural Centre, Jaladhara – Saksharatha Mission, and Vishalakochi Kudivella Samrakshana Samithi. M.K. Sanu will inaugurate the programme. Mr. Nair will be felicitated for winning the award instituted by the State Science Technology and Environment for the best science book for the work titled ‘Jalam Jeeva Jalam.’ He had earlier won the N.V. Sahitya Vedi and Bharathan Master Foundation awards for the book, ‘Bhoomikku Pani.’
