Award for IT@School programme

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The IT@School programme of the Department of General Education has bagged the “The World is Open Award” for the best project - nation-wide - for promoting the use of open source technology. The award is jointly instituted by Skoch Consultancy Services and Redhat. A release here said the award was handed over to the executive director of the IT@School programme Anwar Sadath at a ceremony held at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, on March 18. — Staff Reporter
