BANGALORE: Ajay Patil, the talented badminton player from Dharwad with a plethora of tournament titles this season, was felicitated for his achievements by the Karnataka Olympic Association (KOA) here on Friday. Ajay was presented Rs. 25,000 and a full Yonex kit bag by the KOA President, K. Govindaraj. Ajay, a X standard student of K.E. Board HS (Dharwad), was assured of all help for his future training and even a month-long stint abroad by the KOA. Twenty-five boxes of shuttle cocks and Rs. 25,000 for the next five years to enable him meet his expenses towards his training camps, was also promised to the youngster, who won 13 singles titles out of the 14 tournaments he played this season besides 11 doubles titles partnering Bangalore’s R.N. Suraj.
