Party opens call centres

Special Correspondent

Bangalore: The information technology-savvy Congress, which launched a membership drive two months ago, has now opened call centres across the country to facilitate people to enrol for membership of the party. Announcing this at a press conference at the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee office here on Thursday, All India Youth Congress Committee President Ashok Tanwar said that people, especially the youths, need not take the trouble of coming all over to the party office for enrolment.

All that they have to do is to approach a call centre set up at the party office and inform their desire to become a primary member of the party. Mr. Tanwar said that they could also enrol by sending an SMS for the purpose.

Krishna Byregowda, president of the Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee, said more than six lakh people, including the youths have enrolled in the State in the last two months
