Asola sanctuary

NEW DELHI: Indiscriminate cutting of trees for execution of development projects should be avoided as it can create an ecological imbalance, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said on Friday while speaking at World Forestry Day celebrations at Asola Wildlife Sanctuary.

Environment Secretary J. K. Dadoo said the Forest Department had drawn up plans to undertake plantation of fruit-bearing trees in all parts of the wildlife sanctuary.
