Builders’ plea to government

Staff Reporter

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Building Designers Organisation has asked the Union and the State governments to take the initiative for bringing under control the spiralling prices of construction materials.

Kowdiar Harikumar, president, and Mahesh K. Pillai, secretary, of the organisation said here on Friday that the prices of cement and iron had reached a record high. The price of iron was increasing almost on a daily basis. Undertaking construction work would become a difficult task for all sections of the people if the trend continued.
