Bhopal: Authorities on Friday ended Himanshu Sabharwal’s protest, three days after he went on a ‘fast-unto-death’ seeking a CBI probe into death of his father Prof. H. S. Sabharwal. Himanshu alleged that he was forced to drink juice to break the fast and threatened to take out a ‘Nyay Rath’ across Madhya Pradesh next week to press for his demand for a CBI probe. His health deteriorated due to the fast he was observing following which he was rushed to a hospital for treatment, Superintendent of Police Jaideep Prasad said. Himanshu told PTI that authorities objected to a video being screened at the protest site and snapped power supply to his tent in the night. “Doctors examined me in the morning, for the first time since I started the fast on March 18 and took me to a hospital as my acetone levels were high,” he said adding he was administered intravenous liquids and forced to drink fruit juice.
