All set for SSC exams

77,147 students to appear for the examinations


Prohibitory orders under Sec. 144 will be imposed around the centres

Students who did not receive the hall-tickets can download duplicates from the Internet


Kakinada: The SSC examinations are set to commence on March 24 and necessary arrangements have been made under the aegis of the District Collector M. Subrahmanyam. A total of 77,147 students (58,531 regular and 18,616 private) have registered for the examinations to be conducted in 323 centres.

Each examination centre will be monitored by a chief superintendent and a departmental officer in addition to total 3,807 invigilators and 15 flying squads. Prohibitory orders under Sec. 144 will be imposed around the examination centres.

Drinking water, ORS packets and first-aid kits are being provided in each one of the centres keeping the summer in view.

Students who did not receive the hall-tickets can download duplicates from the Internet and get the same attested by the head masters concerned.

A control room has been set up in the office of the District Education Officer (phone numbers 0884-2379328/2341783) to meet any contingency.

For the first time, bar code system is being introduced for Social Studies papers I and II on a pilot basis.

In a meeting with the teachers associations, Collector Subrahmanyam hoped that the district would secure a better rank from the 6th position in the State in the previous year.

He sought focus to be laid on improving the performance of C and D category schools.

District Education Officer P. Parvati and Deputy DEOs Nageswara Rao and K.V. Ramana will be supervising the examinations under the guidance of the Collector.
