NIZAMABAD: Residents of the town has got a little relief from power cut as there will not be second spell of cut in power supply in the town from Friday onwards. On the other hand, power cut is imposed only for two hours from 6.30 am to 8.30 am during the time of drinking water supply everyday. The power cut continuing hitherto from 12 noon to 2 p.m. has been waived in view of the response from the residents of the town, said Minister for Higher Education D. Srinivas. Press conferenceThe Minister for Higher Education was addressing a press conference, here on Friday. He said he talked to the electricity authorities to take the decision to this effect in view of the difficulties of the public. “Power cut is certainly a problem confronting people. But, the demand for power has ever been increasing from the farming community to supply borewell water to standing crops resulting in the cuts to domestic supply”, he said. As soon as the harvest time was over there would not be any power cut, he explained.
