Rudalis mourn the fallen trees

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: It was mourning for a different cause on Friday.

Rudalis, the professional mourners from Rajasthan were in the city to mourn the fallen trees on Chinmaya Mission Hospital (CMH) Road and the general loss of green cover in the garden city.

A group of Rudalis had been invited by two organisations that organised mourning for the fallen trees on the occasion of World Forest Day to create awareness about the loss of green cover and increasing pollution.

Joined by members of the Karnataka Environment Trust and Rediffusion, besides the general public, the Rudalis gathered in front of a popular coffee shop on CHM Road and mourned the trees by offering floral tributes.
