HYDERABAD: The Government will examine the legal possibilities of appointing certain categories of eligible employees (karobars) as panchayat secretaries, Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy said here on Friday. Responding to a representation submitted by leaders of Telangana Gram Panchayati Employees’ Association, headed by Government Whip Sridhar Babu, he quoted officials as having told him that there were legal problems in making the appointments. According to a press release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, the Government would take steps to overcome the problems in appointing all those who are eligible.
