HYDERABAD: Upset with the way some leaders in the party, including seniors were airing their views publicly on sensitive issues like Telangana despite his constant warnings, Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu is believed to have taken a decision to initiate disciplinary action. Mr. Naidu reportedly held a long discussion on the options open to the party to proceed against those indulging in such talk with party seniors like Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, K. E. Krishnamurthy, T. Devender Goud and Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Friday. On Saturday, Mr. Naidu is expected to meet others like K. Yerran Naidu following which he is likely to announce a decision. Telangana issueMeanwhile, the issue of Telangana continues to be a hotly debated subject and on Friday the party seemed to be veering round to the view that it is better to postpone formulation of its much-awaited stand to general elections. It is significant considering the fact that a section of senior leaders insisted on party clarifying its stand before the forthcoming by-elections to 16 Assembly and four Lok Sabha constituencies in the Telangana region. Sources said these leaders too seemed to have softened their stand a bit seeing virtue in allowing the TRS to fight it out with Congress, instead of meddling and getting caught in a web of its own making.
