CPI (M) for meet to discuss Girijan issue

Hyderabad: The CPI (M) State Committee on Friday demanded convening of Tribal Advisory Council, all party and tribal welfare organisations meet to discuss problems facing Girijans. The committee which viewed some of the Government’s policies as ‘anti-Girijan’ wanted them to be droppedwhile expressing concern over the growing trend to drive away tribals from their habitat in the name of attack by elephants in the Andhra area and threats from tigers in the Nallamala forest. – Special Correspondent .
