Cell opened to check jaundice outbreak

Kochi: The district health authorities have opened a control room at the Vengola Primary Health Centre in the wake of reports of spread of jaundice in the area.

They have also started preventive steps in the area for checking the spread of the disease, according to a statement issued by the District Medical Officer.

The health officials also destroyed stale food seized from some eateries in the area, the statement said.
