Woman dies in road accident

HASSAN: Sundaramma, who was riding pillion with her grand-daughter Deepu, died on the spot when a lorry rammed their two-wheeler on Dudda-Hassan Road here on Friday. Deepu is undergoing treatment for severe head injuries at the District Hospital here.

Raided

Officials of the Hassan District Crime and Intelligence Bureau have raided the house of Ravi on a complaint by Rajesh of T-Series, Bangalore, and seized a compact disc manufacturing machine, 150 pirated compact discs, 50 posters and five digital video discs, all valued at Rs. 1 lakh. Ravi has been arrested.

Girl missing

Nithyasri (19), daughter of Manjachari, has been missing since March 17. She had been staying in her brother’s house in Vivek Nagar. She is a student of ITI, Halebeedu. She is 4.9 ft tall and was wearing black trousers and a red and beige colour T-shirt.
