CHENNAI: Two new Inspectors-General of Police (IG) were posted on Saturday to the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) and the Railway police.

Vijaykumar is the new IG of the EOW (Financial Institutions), Chennai. He succeeds G. Umaganapathy Sastry who has been transferred and posted as IG, Railways, Chennai.

In the latest shuffle of officers, Karunasagar, DIG, Training-II, Chennai, has been posted as DIG, Crime Branch CID vice A.M.S. Gunaseelan who has been transferred as DIG, Administration, Chennai.

On transfer, P. Thamaraikannan, Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation, has been posted as DIG, Training-1. He was hitherto Chief Vigilance Officer, Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation, Chennai. — Special Correspondent
