BANGALORE: For the racing buffs wishing to see the action packed grand prix race, the Malaysia Tourism has offered an attractive package to watch Petronas Malaysian Formula 1 Grand Prix 2008 scheduled to be held on Sunday. A release said the package had been unveiled to mark 10 eventful years of Formula 1 at Sepang. “Sepang race is popular with Indian F1 fans as this is the only premier racing circuit in South East Asia, which is closer to India and offers an opportunity to catch all action live,” the release said. In 2007, about 1,14,000 spectators visited Malaysia for the F1 races. Of this, 50,000 were foreign tourist arrivals with the Indian share being 5 per cent or 2,500 arrivals. The Indian sports enthusiast can make most of Formula 1 and Kuala Lumpur Grand Prix City sale by availing special Formula 1 package starting from Rs. 29,999 for two nights three days offered by Tourism Malaysia in conjunction with select travel agents. This package includes return airfare on economy, airport transfers, hotel accommodation with breakfast, transfers to Sepang circuit with a ticket to Formula 1 race and half a day sightseeing in Kuala Lumpur.
