Coalition inevitable: Bangarappa

Special Correspondent

BANGALORE: The State will once again have a coalition government as the electorate will in all likelihood give an indecisive mandate, Samajwadi Party State unit president S. Bangarappa has said.

Mr. Bangarappa was speaking to presspersons on the sidelines of a function held here on Saturday by his party.

Not conducive

Mr. Bangarappa said: “The political environment in the State is not conducive for any one political party to be in power.”

The Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party were the new parties in the State.

Mr. Bangarappa said his party and the JD(S) were thinking of forging an electoral understanding.

Earlier, he participated in the birth centenary of Ram Manohar Lohia, anniversary of late Shantheri Gopala Gowda and women’s day.
