Ernakulam win’s team title

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Ernakulam won the men’s team title in the State senior carrom championships here on Saturday. In the final, Ernakulam crushed Thiruvananthapuram 3-0. The host which had upset defending champion Palakkad in the semifinal couldn’t repeat that performance in the final.

Team championship (final): Ernakulam bt Thiruvananthapuram 3-0 (M.M. Santhosh bt V.M. Dileep 25-12, 25-21, P.K. Shanvar bt K. Ramesh 25-5, 25-8; K.P. Anil Kumar bt G.S. Pradeep 25-16, 25-15).

Semifinals: Ernakulam bt Alappuzha 3-0; Thiruvananthapuram bt Palakkad 2-1.
