THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The director board of Kerala State Cooperative Bank is understood to have decided to dismiss two senior officials from service for sanctioning loans in violation of rules during the tenure of the previous United Democratic Front government. The board which met on Tuesday is learnt to have taken the decision to dismiss manager K. Vijayakrishnan and senior assistant V.J. Francis. The decision has been made on the basis of a probe into sanctioning of loans against rules during 2001-06. Senior manager Kurein C. Thampy has been dismissed from service for misconduct. Junior assistant K.P. Pavithran has also been suspended from service.
